  Yeah, I couldn't figure out how Jehovah is supposed to leave cuts and scratches on us. I know it is metaphorical, but still I couldn't figure it out. I could see how the mom would leave them...OH...is it supposed to be an analogy of DF'ing? That's a lousy one, alright. Ok, here it is: DF'ing shunning hurts at the time it is being given, but the scars from that is evidence of our lives being saved and the intense love god has for us. He loves us so much that he is willing to damage us a little to save us.

  I'm taking a logic class, right now, and this brand of logic would fail miserably.

  Inattentive elders...anyone else experience this?

  everyone always talks about the elders and people in the congregation coming around to see why you aren't at meetings...but i've never experienced this.

  i've been away from the meetings for months, and not one single elder has called me.

  my friends occasionally call me but never bring up my lackluster attendance.

  YES!!! I was abandoned right out of the congregation. I hated it then, but now I love it. If it wasn't for their neglect, I would still be trapped. I know they are very busy with cong. business and life outside the khall, but they promised to do a job and they aren't doing it. It makes me think that they don't view meeting attendance as very important, either.

  i've finally finished and will now have my master's degree in nursing!!!

  i feel like i've been in school for my entire life, but it was well worth it!.

  my father is planning to sell his home in abbotsford, and my sister has been helping him clean out the library.

  dad has quite a few bound volumes he no longer has use for, and was going to donate them to a local university, but i thought they might be worth something on the open market.. i was thinking of listing them on e-bay, but i've never listed anything on there before, and was wondering how difficult it was to sell, as i don't have a lot of time on my hands to monitor the site.. anyways this is what he has........ .

  i am interested to know what you know about lucifer/satan and what you really think of his teachings.. god demands that we believe everything that he tells us, and that we do everything that he says without questioning.

  I didn't know that Lucifer (beautiful name, by the way) was in the NWT. If it isn't, that would explain why I never knew about the name until Battlestar Galactica came on TV in the "70's.
